She’s so strange in such an endearing way. ![]() But here, in her novella, Opal was perfect. I was too focused on Blue and all her Raven Boys and all of the terrible and wonderful things that happened to them. The journey follows an emotionally fraught path filled with psychics, magic, and the unexpected, as we follow a journey filled with lush descriptions and painfully. Little did I know, there was a novella about Opal, Ronan’s dream girl! Opal features a few short glimpses into the lives of Ronan Lynch and Adam Parrish after the events of The Raven King.ĭuring the actual Raven Cycle, I didn’t care that much about Opal. Maggie Stiefvater’s The Raven Cycle subverts a stereotype associated with LGBTQ people in a novel that maintains a sense of home while also subverting a widely held stereotype.
